Jeans pants

In my school days, I was so fascinated with jeans pants, and jackets. I am talking about the story of the second half of the 1980s.

This was the time when the eastern world was leaning towards the fashion of the western world. The Western world was seen as developed and civilized.

And the eastern world was quick to imitate the Western-style. Cinema in particular had a great role to westernize our outlook. At this time, Western films were popular among the younger generation and were in great demand.

Our only means of entertainment was the cinema. In those days, Thursday and Saturday were days for English films. Our school used to be over after Tiffin on Saturday and we were always ready to go to the cinema hall that day to watch the English film, which would start at 2.00 pm. We had already packed our casual shirts in our school bags to wear before entering the cinema hall.

In those days; Fiction films, love stories, detective films, and cowboy films were screened. Among them, I mostly loved watching cowboy movies

Of all the English actors, Clint Eastwood was my favorite hero. I never missed his movies. Mostly he acted in cowboy films.

Clint Eastwood was truly a great hero to me. He looked a bit rough, but a handsome man, a strong man with a different personality.

Even now I can visualize him distinctly. On hot summer stormy desert; through the scattered tall cactus plants, he is approaching riding on his black horseback. His body was perfectly bouncing along with the gallops of the horse. On his head, a round leather shepherd felt a hat to protect him from the scorching sun of the desert, under which a gleaming eye and two thick eyebrows, and a cut mark on his face, might be due to fighting with robbers.

By then he had reached me. I was amazed to see his solid body, a very tall and strong handsome man with an "I don't care" mustache above his dry lips.

He is wearing blue jeans pants and a jacket, the colour of the jeans has faded and two revolvers are hanging around his waist which he occasionally gropes. His brown dingo boots perfectly match the rugged atmosphere of the desert.

I've seen him many times in a cowboy movie; I can envisage this scene, he is firing a revolver at his enemies so quickly with both his hands, leaving them no chance to take their revolver.

The enemy helplessly lay on the ground and he blows the revolver's smoke and with a swift spin he put the revolver on its case.

Soon he came to me I saw him like Gulliver. The horse nearly crushed me; luckily a pebble saved me because I felt as small as Lilliput in front of Gulliver. So he never saw me.

And as soon as he crossed me he released the bridle and gave a signal kick that made the animal run away, and it proceeded like a storm.

His blue jeans pants and jacket fit well with his muscular body. I was very impressed with their getup.

I have fallen in love with blue jeans since that day. Still, I love wearing jeans because it is very comfortable and an all-weather dress. You do not need to iron it. Just pick up your jeans, wear them and move on.

As far as I know, Levi’s, Wrangler and Lee Jeans were some of the popular brands at that time, but it was not easily available in the Indian market.

The original jeans were made of pure cotton with double stitching by a thick yellow thread.

This is 2020; Still, I like wearing jeans at this age. But the jeans these days have no match with the jeans of those days. Nevertheless, according to the demand of the times, there are varieties of fashionable jeans available in the market nowadays.

The market currently features jeans pants made of nylon mix and many other materials, for both boys and girls and for all age groups.

These days we do not need to go to shops or malls to buy our clothes. All we have to do is click on Amazon. in or Flipchart or any other sites.

But still, I like those original branded cotton jeans and wish to wear them ...

The Beast In Beauty

Might He wondered in His own creation
Seeing the most excellent work ever He did
Might He murmured Himself,
‘Can’t I ever perhaps make such others?
Unaware of her exquisite beauty
Grew she like the wave of the sea
Unnoticed, she turned into a youth
Like the Lilly of the spring
Every step she moved
Illuminated she the celestial grace and charm
She was the pet of all
They said ‘poor she’
‘Creator didn’t do her just’
But she didn’t mind what she was
For being forbidden to see the beautiful world
But was intelligent enough to filter every word
Yet the laughter of plain eyes
Drew everyone’s attention twice
Like the high the tide of the sea
She rose and fell
As natural instinct, the heart she did unveil
To the finest man, whom she claimed
A strong man full of youth and vitality
Who loved her so dearly
They adored each other
Like do any crazy lover
They took walks everywhere
And vowed not to betray in any weather
They talked of their future plan
Sometimes they roamed in calm
She was the pet of him
They said ‘poor he’
‘Creator didn’t do him just’
As he was an ugliest stuff
A deep scar on his left cheek
Appeared to others a horrifying beast
A pair of deep eyes though were bright
Indicated left while the things were in the right
And long bent nose
Messed his all pose
But the profound love and care he gave
Made her wild and hysteric
Discontent made him was her eyes
Although elegance and virtues all she possessed
Still incomplete, he realized
He scolded the Creator
But with great devotion he called her God
Just to make her a perfect girl
Having heard his earnest prayer
With great thunder, in the compellation
Descended down the Creator
To make the secret clear
At once at His celestial touch
Enlightened her latent sight
She amazed how beautiful the world is
She could see the birds flying joyfully in the blue skies
Butterflies gliding above the colourful flowers
And she could make out ugly out of beauty
That’s what made everything worst
Strides she out horridly to the mirror
Astonished at her own towering beauty
Enthralled with joy, she turns back
Behind the bouquet hiding his face
Exited but the firm, uttered a familiar voice
‘Looking you gorgeous, my love’
‘Now you are my perfect girl’
A terrible current shocked her
As she seized the flower
Screamed she as if a ghost in front of her
And the mirror shattered behind her
The bouquet too scattered over the floor
‘Utterly intolerable’, urged her mind
Straight she said, ‘you no match to my beauty’
He bowed and begged for her love
Asked if he has committed any fault
Dumping his several earnest appeals
She left him like the leftover peel
Like a child he cried and yelled
Realizing his own error
For begging eyes for her
Rushed he home
Seeing swollen eyes
‘Condoled his mother, ‘poor my child’,
‘Learn to distinguish beast out of beauty
Outer beauty is temporary
Seek such a heart where lies inner beauty’

PROFICIENCY DEVELOPMENT FOR GRADUATE TEACHERS’ TEACHING ENGLISH
03/01/2012    TO    12/01/2012-  GGSSS, NAMCHI
G.T’S PROFOUND UTTERANCE
Amidst the lush green pine hill
In the wintry chill
Ignoring precious leave
From far and near gathered we

From the session of ice breaking
Till the day of our parting
Felt we warm and friendly treat
Even the frozen winter couldn’t defeat

Spoken English: why should we learn?
For English is not read as it’s written
Why Communicative Learning Teaching Approach?
As it is in learners’ favour

The most interesting class was Phonetic
As the manner he taught was dramatic
Repeatedly stressed he not to let the lesson decay
Because it is the theory of Mr. D.K

We owe our humble gratitude to all R Ps
For left they no stone unturned rendering their service
As it is easier to learn than to unlearn
So once the bond we forge can’t be forgotten

HEART

On a roasting daylight sun
With zillion plights of loneliness
Troubled, bruised and wounded heart
Panting alone all alone
Harshly rejected by her own soul mate
Was crying on the footpath edge
Idiot my little heart
Tried to soothe her
Tried to convince her
But refused she
For she desires only the heart
That has severally played with her
Whom she has committed already
Her body soul and hear

Human form

Along with the passage of time (age)
Transforms human form and beauty
In spite of the change in human nature
The form of love remains the same
Form and beauty doesn't matter
Let the trust go higher and further
Let the purity sustain throughout the ages
I exult with my all love and might
I dignify you to a position along with my throne
I long to see you taking the place of her majesty
As I crown you with my empathetic heart
I would like to see you in the royal ball gown
Dancing, twisting and whirling in your slender form
I shall hold you in my muscular arm
We shall dance and display our romance
Amidst the courtiers, amid the blasting applauses
Youth and lust lasts for a few days
But the true love and faith endure forever and ever
Let's not end the music; let's appeal the musician
Let's keep on dancing till we all get exhausted
Damn care the outer human form and charm
Because beauty lies in the heart, not in physique
Form and beauty doesn't matter me
It makes different when you betray to yourself
It makes different when you fall from your own sight
It matters when you compel me to discard
I know I shall utterly cry the moment I know
My ballroom will be wholly emptied without you
Perhaps my passionate eyes will search for her majesty's footprints
Certainly, my keen ear will wish to hear her royally giggles
For romance was there, the charm was there a few moments ago
In the sincere heart, until Newton knew the truth of fallen apple
But I am not pragmatic to prove the gravity
I believe in romance and I live in the fantasy
With my own loyal devotee

LONE PRINCES AND HER CASTLE

Lone is the castle, beneath the blue skies
Within the castle breathes a single brave lady
Almost desolated as if accustomed to solitude
Consumes she every social stigma
Beneath that lone castle lays a fragile heart
Almost fissured mind, though cautiously tightened
Escapes the hopes and bliss sometimes from her grips
That was hardly collected precious joys and bliss
As usual, again she feels her glees being seized
Who would know her heart's agony?
Who would understands the depth of her cry
She is crying for love, she needs a soul mate
She cries for a prince who could kiss her lips
And could disable the spell of wicked
I can see from my housetop
A cool slothful gust of the wind
Blowing gently over her silky hair
As if consoling her
I can see from my balcony
A delicate ray of the morning sun
Knocking softly at her door
As if presenting his chaste love
Alas
Neither she understands the touch of the wind
Nor can she feel the warmth of the morning sun
Waving their hands
Desperately marches they ahead
Sun is in a hurry to intensify his heat
Casting his grey shadow over her
Rushes they on their daily routine

And again a lone castle remains silence
Beneath the blue skies
Within that castle breathes a single brave lady
Longing to see her real prince
Who could bring back her lost bliss
School Is A Temple

If school is a temple
You are a Priest
If a teacher is a candle
You are a bright recipient
If the book is a holy scripture
You are a humble scholar
If your action is religion
You are a devotee
If a teacher is a facilitator
You are a beneficiary
If meditation is your prayer
Enlightenment is your attainment
